This handcrafted safari will begin with a visit to the remote area of South Laungwa in Zambia. Join your host and lodge owner, Darryl Davy, for three (3) nights in his family’s luxury camp, Sungani Lodge.

Following that exciting stop, you will fly to Zambia to spend time in the untouched wilds of Lower Zambezi National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with some of the best wildlife sightings in the world. Your home for the next three (3) nights will be Lolebezi Camp which has been designed to make the most of its private river frontage. This camp offers you the opportunity to experience the river from a canoe or cruiser to enjoy your nightly sundowner. Fly fishing enthusiasts can try their hand on a catch-and-release excursion to reel in the extraordinary Tiger Fish.

The contemporary lodge effortlessly incorporates the luxury expected in a world-class safari camp with a modest elegance and simplicity that can only be found in the African bush. Featuring eight suites designed with an emphasis on Zambian culture and natural materials, you will find elements designed to keep you connected to the incredible surroundings. From our lodge, we offer daily excursions to the Zambian side (and Zimbabwean side – in the dry season) side of Victoria Falls, private river cruises, cultural visits, fishing expeditions, canoeing, rhino tracking and game drives, all included in your stay.

Thorntree draws inspiration from an eclectic mix of local African culture accented by contemporary influences to blend a tranquil riverside setting with an eco-conscious approach. There are eight luxury tented suites and two luxury family suites that are situated along the edge of the mighty Zambezi River. Each unit has its own indoor and outdoor bathroom as well as a luxurious private plunge pool, deck and direct river view. The camp’s shared areas are fluid hubs of relaxation; the lounge flows seamlessly into the dining area, and the library hosts WIFI connectivity. Cancellation policy:

After the booking has been confirmed, should the guest wish to cancel the services held on their behalf the following cancellation schedule applies:

- More than 61 days before arrival (until July 20, 2025), 25% of the refundable deposit will be forfeited.

- Between 60 to 46 days before arrival (July 20-2024-Aug 4, 2025) - 50% of the reservation full value will be forfeited.

- Less than 45 days before arrival (after August 5, 2025) and No Shows - 100% of the reservation's full value is forfeited.
